The Chili Dog Effect revisited

If you haven't read about Chili Dogs and their apparant ability to burn, maim, and terrorize a mid-sized city please click Here.

Update: For those who are constantly and vigilantly clicking refresh on my blog every 30 minutes to keep abreast of anything new and exciting in my life keep reading.

Or maybe you just wandered here by accident after googling We 3 Kings. Who knows!

Oh yeah the update sorry about that

Today marks our 10th fire in 13 work days (we work every 3 days) since the Chili Dog Incident. It's only 11pm and our little arsonist may still have some tricks up his sleeve for us tonight.

Our earlier fire today wasn't an arson fortunately. A fireman we know who was on vacation for the day, noticed his neighbor's house was growing a cloud over it that was black and smelled like burnt stuff. He decided to give us the wrong address (he lived 2 doors down but got excited I guess) and then proceeded to kick the door down and search for occupants. Luckily nobody was home and he was able to get out before he was consumed by the flames. (I kid, it wasn't that big of a fire, though he did suck in a little smoke that he probably regretted) We arrived about 5 minutes late after searching all over for a fire 10 blocks from where we were supposed to be and there was said off-duty fireman trying to extinguish the blaze with a garden hose.

Let me say that this is a young, shiny, fresh, new guy and his heart is all firemany and in the right place. He just got excited. Fires that jump out at you can make you do silly things. And what if someone had of been in the house. Our little sub-fireman would have been a hero and probably made the news and then would have been teased mercilessly for years to come. Hmmm well it was all good fun and we put a great stop on the fire and protected and served and all of that fun stuff. (translate - the fire went out. We all stood around chatting and finally went back home and took catnaps)

Dang it being a fireman is rough!
