Oh yeah he is a Kingsbury for sure

Here is my little man chatting away.

Highlight Reel

I just want to start by reminding everyone that I usually post 3 things or so at a time, so if you followed a link here on your blog you might want to peek back HERE to see if you’ve missed anything.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about then don’t worry about it you’re fine ;)

Here are a few pictures that I’ve taken with my phone in the past few weeks.

Last of the fire pictures

Well as of September 1st the KCFD’s official position is that we can no longer take pictures at fires.   As it isn’t September just yet, I snapped a few at this two alarm fire we had yesterday.

It came in around 3:30pm and we arrived around 5:30pm to relieve crews on the scene.  We stayed till 10pm or so and then came back at 5am to finish wetting it down.

One Daring Lady

I worked yesterday and our heroine decided she was going to brave the impossible.  She took the boys to the zoo without me.

Of course if I’d been there they would have been crazy little munchkin monsters.  But for Jessi they were sweet little angels.

20 Years of Nursing

Nurses aren't supposed to laugh.

"Of course I won't laugh, I'm a professional nurse. In over

twenty years I've never laughed at a patient."

"Okay then," Fred said and proceeded to drop his trousers,

revealing the tiniest man thingy the nurse had ever seen.

Length and width, it couldn't have been bigger than an AAA battery.

Unable to control herself, the nurse started giggling then almost

fell to the floor laughing.

A few minutes later she was able to regain

her composure. "I'm so sorry," said the nurse. "I don't know what

came over me. On my honor as a nurse and a lady, I promise it won't

happen again. Now tell me, what seems to be the problem?"

"It's swollen," Fred replied.

Things went downhill from there.

To my sympathetic friend…

photo 2-789984

For those readers who don't know, this week I ended a perfect winning
streak. I retired 2 and 0 with 2 beautiful boys and zero girls. I
went under the knife and barring a longer surgery or lots of paperwork
I am officially out of the reproduction game.

An unknown sympathetic soul sent me this card in the mail today. It
was unsigned but showed compassion and understanding above and beyond
the norm. You are a true friend whomever you may be.

Thank you

Thanks Jessica Estes

This is a bit blurry but it shows a tight swaddle with the legs free allowing the straps to be secured through the legs. A typical swaddle encases the feet and makes it tricky to strap the baby in properly.

Our friend Jessica told me about this method and advised the tight swaddle arms in, in his swing, to get him to nap during the day. Though this type of swaddle dissolves rapidly in his bed, he doesn't seem to be able to wiggle much in his swing and he has slept over 2 hours each afternoon the last two days giving us a much needed break during the day.

Outing

It's a bit tricky these days going anywhere but we were going stir
crazy and decided to take a trip down to Crown Center. We checked out
a small but fun Lego exhibit, ate at the ever-popular Fritz's where We
had our food delivered via train and then checked out the Toystore and
let Ryan play with the trains there. It was a great time.

Oooooooooooooo cheese

Deck Stairs

Jessi finally received her long overdue Mothers Day present. Her dad
came over and after 11 hours we had completed stairs on the other side
of the deck. Her dad did an amazing job and the new stairs are super
convenient as they allow us a 5 step journey to the top of the hill
near the playset rather than a 16 step walk to the bottom near the
pool. Once we stain everything later this summer it should look like
it was there from the beginning.

Great Grandma

We had a nice visit with the grandparents at the hospital yesterday.
Grandad is in rehab and doing much better. I took advantage of the
opportunity to snap a picture of Seth and Grandma.
