Good coffee

I close my eyes as I wrap my hands around a warm much needed cup of
Italian roast. I am imagining a delicate cup on a tiny cafe table in
the quaint little Italian town of Lucca. I'm there again endulging in
an expresso watching a smiling man ride his bicycle past us with a
curly haired toddler in the front basket. Good coffee good memories.

Long day

Ryan started the day early and by 2:30 he is zonked. In lieu of a
pillow his Nana will do just fine.

Graduation!

Today we have a new nurse in the family! Congratulations Chrissy!

So close yet so far away

I’m sitting at the station today and I’m really missing my wife and kiddo’s.

Seth is getting so big, he is almost 9 lbs now (born 6lbz 14oz) he still squawks like a seagull occasionally but he is looking around more and eating like a horse.  He isn’t sleeping at night much anymore but what can you expect at a month.

Ryan is getting tall and talking his little head off all day long.  He runs, he dances, he climbs, he loves on his little brother and the dogs “Awwwwwww” he says when he gives kisses and hugs.  He has become a little fish and after a couple of times in the pool the summer he has taught himself how to swim with water muscles on.  He can spin around and propel himself by kicking and pretty much go anywhere he wants.  He jumps into the pool by himself and can even hold his breath underwater for a second.

Jessi had a tough night last night, we divide our baby duties and I take over after I get off work in the morning so Jessi can nap and then the next night is mine all night.  The night before I go to work is  Jessi’s  and Seth didn’t give her a break at all.  4 hours went by from 12:30 – 4:30 where the baby did nothing but poop, pee, and puke through his outfits.  Be praying that she gets a nap when Ryan goes to bed this afternoon.

Tummy Time

I put Seth on his belly this morning for a little tummy time. Ryan
stopped what he was doing and ran over to love on his baby.

Pool Fence

Today we lose the great view of the pool but gain a sense of security.
A pool is a lot of fun but with young kids it can be a bit scary too.

Summer Storms at the station

We got blasted by heat all day only to get hit by a thunderstorm and
power outage this evening.

** Power has been restored. Some trees fell on the line and blew some of the breakers on the pole outside the station.

Advice for anyone who blogs

I have been battling blogger for a long time.  Uploading pictures is a miserable experience.  They all go to the top of the teeny tiny screen and then it’s a struggle to pull them all down and place them where you want them.  Recently it has gotten even worse as the screen won’t scroll down when you try to move the photos.  I have been so annoyed I haven’t been a very good blogger lately.  But I have discovered a tool which makes blogging soooo much easier.

Windows Live Writer

Download this free program, install it (make sure you uncheck all of the other things it wants to install like msn messenger etc.  You only need the writer).

You will be able to create your blogs offline on your computer, add multiple pictures by selecting as many as you want.  It will even place your pictures **GASP** wherever you want them!  It automatically resizes them and even formats everything for the theme you have picked out for your blog.

Once you are done you click publish and it sends it all to your blog so fast you will be amazed.

I guarantee this tool will save you 20-30 minutes on any picture intensive blog post.  Leaving you plenty of time left over to keep up on my blog ;)

Jen's House

When we were in the hospital having Sethman little Ryan was homeless and all alone until his most awesome aunt Jennifer decided to take in the poor orphan and clothe him and feed him. He even managed to have a little fun while he was there ;)

The many faces of my little princess

Sariah is my little princess, when she shows up at my door she opens her arms  wide and she won’t let anyone hold her until she gets to hang out with her favorite uncle Rob.  Of course she has my heart and I snap pictures shamelessly of her every chance I get.  Here is a few pictures that ended up on my camera over the last few weeks.
